Terms and Conditions
Effective October 17, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and JobTracker Pro (“JobTracker Pro,” “we,” “us” or “our”). They cover our website, the JobTracker Pro app, the public pages you create with it, our chat assistants and any other service of ours that links to them (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization — for example, as the administrator of a career center or coaching program — you confirm that you’re authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” includes that organization.
The short version
- You own everything you add. We use it only to run JobTracker Pro for you.
- The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. Paid plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime in Account Settings.
- Payments generally aren’t refundable. You can ask for a refund of a recent payment only within the limited windows in section 4.
- We can’t promise a job, an interview or any networking result, and AI suggestions need your review before you use them.
- Keep your public pages truthful, and use your contacts’ information responsibly.
This summary is here for convenience. The full Terms below are what apply.
Please note: disputes go to individual arbitration
section 18 says that disputes between you and JobTracker Pro will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, not by a jury or in a class action. You can opt out within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by following the steps in that section.
1. Using JobTracker Pro
JobTracker Pro helps you run your job search and manage your professional relationships — your contacts, companies, applications, activities and calendar, the public profile pages you share, and the insights built from them. Organizations such as career centers, coaching programs and professional associations also use it to support their members.
Your right to use it. As long as you follow these Terms, we give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service. Unless your organization has arranged otherwise with us, it’s for your own professional use, not for resale.
How it changes. We’re always improving the Service, so features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove a feature that’s a significant part of a paid plan, we’ll try to tell you in advance. Some features may be labeled early access or beta. Those may change or be withdrawn, and may not work perfectly.
What you need. You’ll need your own device and internet connection, and you’re responsible for their costs.
2. Your account
Who can use it. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you’re under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. You can’t use the Service if we’ve previously closed your account for breaking these Terms, or if the law doesn’t allow you to use it.
Accurate information. Give us accurate information when you sign up, and keep it up to date.
Keeping your account secure. Each account is for one person. Keep your password secret and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for what happens under it. If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and tell us right away through our Contact page.
Messages from us. We’ll email you about your account — for example, sign-up confirmations, password resets and important notices about your account, your plan or these Terms. Because these are part of running the Service, you can’t opt out of them while you have an account.
Support access. To give you support you’ve asked for, investigate problems or abuse, or keep the Service running, authorized members of our team may access your account, as our Privacy Policy describes.
3. Plans, billing and automatic renewal
The Free plan. The Free plan costs nothing and has no time limit. It includes the features listed for it on our pricing page. Public pages created on the Free plan show JobTracker Pro branding.
Paid plans. The Networking and Job Search plans unlock more features, as described on our pricing page. Each is billed monthly or annually. Prices are in U.S. dollars, and the price shown at checkout is the price you’ll pay for your first billing period. Prices don’t include any sales or similar taxes that may apply, which are your responsibility unless they’re collected at checkout. There’s no free trial of the paid plans, because the Free plan is always available.
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each billing period until you cancel.
Automatic renewal: your paid plan renews automatically. Unless you cancel before your current billing period ends, it renews for another period of the same length — a month or a year — and your payment method is charged the then-current price of your plan at the start of each new period.
You can cancel anytime: in Account Settings, choose Manage billing and cancel your plan there.
When you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your paid features until then, and you won’t be charged again. After that, your account moves to the Free plan. Nothing you’ve added is deleted.
Switching plans. You can switch between the Networking and Job Search plans at any time with “Switch” in the dashboard menu. The switch takes effect right away, and the difference in price shows up on your next invoice, as an extra charge or a credit.
Price changes. We may change our prices. If the price of your plan goes up, we’ll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, and it will take effect at your first renewal after that notice. If you don’t want to pay the new price, cancel before then.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe will try again over the following days, and you keep your paid features while it does. If the payment still can’t be collected, your plan may be cancelled and your account moved to the Free plan.
Promotion codes. We may offer promotion codes that you can enter at checkout. A code can be used only as described when it was issued. Codes have no cash value and may expire.
Organization plans. If your access comes through an organization, the organization’s arrangement with us covers the fees, and the billing terms in this section apply only to plans you buy yourself (see section 8).
4. Refunds
Cancelling stops future charges but doesn’t on its own refund a payment you’ve already made. If you’re not satisfied with a paid plan, you can ask us to refund your most recent payment within these windows:
- Monthly plans: within 7 calendar days after the start of the billing period that payment covered.
- Annual plans: within 14 calendar days after the start of the billing period that payment covered.
To ask, sign in and open Support from the account menu, choose “Billing question,” and tell us briefly why you’re asking. If you can’t sign in, use our Contact page instead, start your message with “Refund request,” and include the email address on your account.
We review each request individually, so sending one doesn’t guarantee a refund. Requests made after these windows aren’t eligible. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method; how long they take to appear depends on your bank or card issuer. When we refund a payment, we may also end the paid period it covered and move your account to the Free plan.
Fees paid by organizations are governed by their agreement with us. Nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under the law where you live.
5. Your content
You own it. You keep ownership of the information and files you add to the Service — contacts, notes, applications, documents, your profile and your public pages (“your content”). We don’t claim ownership of any of it.
What you let us do with it. You give us permission to store, copy, process and display your content only as needed to run the Service for you — for example, to show it to you, back it up, calculate your insights, send the necessary parts to Anthropic when you use an AI feature, and show your public pages to the people who visit them. For anything you publish on a public page, that includes showing it to anyone with the link and letting search engines find it. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies kept in backups for a limited time, as our Privacy Policy explains.
Your responsibility. You’re responsible for your content, and you must have the right to add it. Don’t add anything unlawful, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
Keep your own copies. We work hard to keep your content safe, but please keep copies of anything important. You can download your data at any time with “Download your data” in Account Settings.
6. Information about other people
JobTracker Pro holds information about people other than you — your contacts. When you add or import that information, you’re responsible for:
- having the right to collect, keep and use it, and following the privacy and data-protection laws that apply to you;
- keeping it accurate and using it only for genuine professional purposes; and
- following the terms of any service you import it from — for example, LinkedIn’s terms for a connections export.
Reaching out. When you contact someone from JobTracker Pro, it opens a draft in your own email app or other messaging service. You send the message, so you’re the sender and you’re responsible for following the laws that apply to electronic messages, such as anti-spam rules. Don’t use the Service to send bulk, unsolicited or deceptive messages.
Requests from your contacts. If someone asks you to delete their information, please do so. If they ask us, we may pass the request on to you, or act on it ourselves where the law requires.
7. Public pages and the people who visit them
Your Public Profile and your connection profiles are public: anyone with the link can see them and share them, and search engines may list them. Publish only what you’re comfortable making public. Keep it truthful, too — don’t impersonate anyone, and don’t misrepresent your experience, credentials or the people and organizations you mention.
Branding and custom links. Public pages on the Free plan show JobTracker Pro branding. Paid plans remove the branding and let you choose a custom link. We may change or reclaim a custom link that impersonates someone, infringes a trademark, is misleading or offensive, or that we need for the Service.
What visitors can do. Visitors can send you their contact details through your page, recommend you and endorse your skills. You decide which recommendations appear on your profile. Use the contact details visitors send you only to follow up with them about what they contacted you for.
Removal. We may remove public content, or take a page offline, if it breaks these Terms or the law.
8. Organizations
If your account is connected to an organization
Some organizations — such as career centers, coaching programs and professional associations — provide JobTracker Pro to their members. If your account was provided by or is connected to one:
- its administrators, and the leader assigned to you, can see some of your information, as described in our Privacy Policy. They can never see your contacts, your activities or documents you attach to a contact — at most, numbers about your contacts and activities, such as how many contacts you’ve added;
- your access depends on the organization’s arrangement with us. If the organization ends or pauses your access — for example, when your license period ends — you may not be able to use the app until it’s restored. Contact the organization about restoring access, or contact us through our Contact page for help getting a copy of your data.
If you run an organization on JobTracker Pro
If you set up or administer an organization, you also agree to:
- invite only people who have chosen to take part in your program, and keep your member list current;
- use members’ information — including any notes you keep about them — only to run your program, keep it confidential, and follow the privacy laws that apply to your organization;
- tell your members how your organization uses their information, where the law requires it; and
- be responsible for what your organization’s administrators and leaders do in the Service.
Fees, seats and license periods for an organization are set out in its agreement or order with us. Where that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement controls for the matters it covers.
9. AI features, insights and the LinkedIn audit
AI features. Some features use Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic — for example, drafting outreach messages, helping you write your profile, and our chat assistants. AI can be wrong. Its suggestions may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or not right for your situation, so review and edit everything before you use or send it. You’re responsible for what you send, post or submit, including anything an AI feature helped you write. AI suggestions aren’t professional career, legal or financial advice. We may set reasonable limits on how often AI features can be used, to keep them available to everyone. As our Privacy Policy explains, we don’t use your content to train AI models.
Insights. Warmth scores, relationship health, reconnect suggestions, funnel diagnostics, pipeline and response-rate analytics and our other insights are calculated from the information you’ve recorded. They’re estimates meant to help you decide where to spend your time — only as complete as what you’ve entered, and not facts about the people involved.
The LinkedIn Recruiter-Search Audit. The audit checks your profile against how recruiter searches generally work. It isn’t LinkedIn’s own ranking, and following its suggestions doesn’t guarantee more visibility, messages or interviews. JobTracker Pro isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn. LinkedIn is a trademark of LinkedIn Corporation.
10. Acceptable use
Use the Service lawfully and as it’s designed to be used. In particular, you must not — or help anyone else to:
- break any law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- send spam or bulk unsolicited messages, or use the Service to harass, threaten, defame or deceive anyone;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity, experience or credentials;
- upload viruses or anything else designed to harm or disrupt devices, data or systems;
- try to get into accounts, data or systems you aren’t authorized to access, or probe, scan or test our security without our written permission;
- disrupt the Service or put an unreasonable load on it, including by getting around usage limits such as those on our chat assistants;
- scrape, crawl or copy the Service or other people’s content by automated means — apart from search engines indexing public pages as our robots.txt file allows;
- copy, sell, resell, rent or sublicense the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law expressly allows;
- use the Service to build a competing product, or to gather information for one;
- create accounts by automated means or under false pretenses; or
- store other people’s sensitive information — such as government ID numbers, financial account details or health information — without a legitimate need and the right to do so.
We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including removing content, limiting features, or suspending or closing accounts.
11. Other companies’ services
The Service works with other companies’ services — for example, Stripe for payments, Microsoft’s Office Online viewer for displaying Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on profiles, the sites whose videos and links you add to your profile, and the LinkedIn and spreadsheet files you import. We don’t control those services and aren’t responsible for them; your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Links to other websites are there for convenience and aren’t an endorsement.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service — our software, design, text, graphics, logos and the JobTracker Pro name, and everything else we provide apart from your content — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don’t give you any rights in it beyond the right to use the Service.
Our name and logo. Don’t use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product, or that could confuse people about who you are.
Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions about the Service, you give us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them however we like, without paying you or crediting you.
Aggregated information. We may create aggregated or de-identified information about how the Service is used — information that can’t reasonably be linked to you — and use it to run and improve the Service.
13. Copyright complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send us a notice through our Contact page, starting your message with “Copyright notice,” that includes:
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- where the material is on the Service, such as the link to the page;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn’t authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you’re the copyright owner or authorized to act for them; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
If your content is removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice the same way. Where appropriate, we close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights.
14. Suspension and termination
If you leave. You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and delete its data, contact us through our Contact page. If you have a paid plan, cancel it first so you’re not charged again, and download your data first — once your account is deleted, we can’t restore it.
If we suspend or close your account. We may suspend or close your account, or limit your access, if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if we have to in order to comply with the law, or if your use puts the Service, other people or us at risk. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we’ll refund any amount you prepaid for the rest of your billing period.
If we shut down the Service. If we stop offering the Service altogether, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can download your data, and refund any amount you prepaid for time after it ends.
What continues. When your account closes, your right to use the Service ends. The parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue — such as those on content you’ve published, our intellectual property, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity and resolving disputes — keep applying.
15. Disclaimers
We work hard to make JobTracker Pro useful and reliable, but we provide the Service “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that it will meet your needs, or that anything in it — including insights, AI-generated content and the LinkedIn audit — will be accurate or complete.
JobTracker Pro is a tool to help you organize your job search and your relationships. We don’t guarantee any result, including a job, an interview, an offer, a reply, an introduction, a referral or new business. Your results depend on many things outside our control.
Some places don’t allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- neither JobTracker Pro nor our team, contractors or suppliers will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, opportunities or data, arising from or related to the Service or these Terms — even if we were told such damages were possible; and
- our total liability for all claims arising from or related to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) what you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory — contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise. They don’t limit liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for fraud, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
17. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, if someone brings a claim against JobTracker Pro or our team because of your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, or your misuse of other people’s information, you agree to defend us and to cover the resulting losses and reasonable costs, including legal fees. We’ll tell you promptly about any such claim, and you won’t settle it in a way that admits fault for us or binds us without our consent. This doesn’t apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach of these Terms.
18. Resolving disputes
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to go to court.
Talk to us first. Most problems can be solved quickly. Before starting a formal dispute, send us a written notice through our Contact page, starting your message with “Notice of dispute.” Include your name, the email address on your account, what the problem is and what you’d like us to do. We’ll send any notice to you at the email address on your account. We’ll both try in good faith to resolve the matter within 60 days of receiving the notice.
Agreement to arbitrate. If we can’t resolve it, you and JobTracker Pro agree that any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except as described below. In arbitration, a neutral arbitrator decides instead of a judge or jury. It’s more informal than court and review by courts is limited, but the arbitrator can award the same individual relief a court could.
Exceptions. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and either of us may ask a court for an order to stop someone infringing intellectual property rights. Where the law doesn’t allow the right to seek public injunctive relief in court to be waived, that right isn’t waived here.
Rules and fees. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect at the time, as modified by this section; the rules are available at adr.org. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section. Filing and arbitration fees are paid as those rules provide, and they limit what consumers pay. If your claim is for $15,000 or less, we’ll reimburse your filing fee unless the arbitrator finds your claim frivolous. For claims of $15,000 or less, you choose whether the arbitration is decided on written submissions alone, by phone or video, or at an in-person hearing. Any in-person hearing will be held in the county where you live, unless we both agree on another place.
No class actions: you and JobTracker Pro may bring claims against each other only individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person’s claims, may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding, and may award relief only to the individual party seeking it, and only as far as that party’s own claim requires.
No jury: you and JobTracker Pro both give up the right to a trial by jury.
Opting out. You can opt out of this agreement to arbitrate within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms. Send us a message through our Contact page, starting it with “Arbitration opt-out,” with your name and the email address on your account. Opting out doesn’t affect any other part of these Terms.
If this section changes. If we change this section in the future (other than how to send us a notice), you can reject the change by telling us through our Contact page within 30 days of the change. The version of this section that applied before the change will then keep governing disputes between us.
If part of it can’t be enforced. If the ban on class and representative proceedings is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be decided in court, not in arbitration, as described in section 20. If any other part of this section is found unenforceable, the rest of it still applies.
19. Changes to these Terms
We’ll update these Terms as the Service changes or the law requires, and post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless it has to happen sooner for legal or security reasons. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you don’t agree, stop using the Service and cancel any paid plan. Changes won’t apply to disputes we already know about when they take effect.
20. General terms
Governing law and courts. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to section 18, any dispute decided in court will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
Entire agreement. These Terms, our Privacy Policy and any agreement your organization has with us are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
Transfers. You can’t transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours — for example, as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — as long as the new owner continues to honor these Terms.
Notices. We may send you notices by email to the address on your account or by showing them in the app, and you agree that these satisfy any requirement for notice in writing. Send notices to us through our Contact page.
Other terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect and that part is applied as fully as the law allows. If we don’t enforce part of these Terms right away, we haven’t given up the right to enforce it later. We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages at our hosting or service providers, natural disasters or acts of government. Nothing in these Terms makes either of us the other’s partner, agent or employee, and these Terms don’t give rights to anyone else.
Notice to California users
Under California Civil Code Section 1789.3, California users are entitled to this consumer rights notice: the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs can be reached by phone at (916) 445-1254 or (800) 952-5210, or in writing at the address listed on the Department’s website, dca.ca.gov.
21. Contact us
